Main purpose and Scope of the Job:
The Vedic Minister of Religion will be a key figure in the organisation, responsible for managing all field activities including delivering Patanjali Meditation sessions and sermons, training local volunteers in meditation and Vedic Sermons apart from managing web content and media development for the charity.
Duties and Key Responsibilities:
Major duties include:
• Delivery of of Vedic sermons, lectures, workshops, and Patanjali meditation sessions across the country
• Training and supervision of volunteers,
• Management of meditation research projects
•Content production for the monthly e-magazines and web channels of the charity
•Overseeing development of film and music projects undertaken by the volunteers of the charity
•Interpreting Vedic texts and delivering creatively its message in web content for young audiences
Person specification:
The ideal candidate will possess excellent and thorough knowledge of the ancient Vedic texts, a proven track record in teaching Patanjali Yoga Meditation, conducting academic research, web content production and media development; besides good skills in delivery of Vedic sermons and meditation sessions, with a very good command over the English language. Ability to read and write Sanskrit is highly desirable.
Excellent interpersonal and management skills are also highly desirable as the Vedic Minister of Religion will be responsible for the training and management of several volunteers. A willingness to travel widely on regular basis will be advantageous.
