A lot of interesting information has come out regarding meditation lately. Like meditation can make alterations to the human body on a cellular level. Or that it can perhaps even slow down our perception of time. If getting rid of stresses of life can cause such an impact, then what about the impact of deep meditation?
But it is difficult to imagine that our perception of time is so different barely a few light years away in our galaxy. What might be two hours up there, might be just a few seconds or even decades here on Earth, depending on where you are in space.
If time is a relative dimension in our world, then what would it be like to not have a world limited by time? Put simply, there will be chaos everywhere.
Consciousness being non-physical in essence cannot be tested unless in a non-physical laboratory. So our physical laboratories that are constructed here in space, time and matter cannot study it.
If any physical dimensions including time do not limit consciousness, then could it transcend the boundaries of past/present/future and make alterations to its existence? In theory, consciousness is eternal and nothing is predestined – the course of our world includes infinite outcomes of our past. It depends on the infinite range of choices we make in a given situation.
We ourselves create this complex bridge of incidents that we eventually tread upon.
I could eat a toast right now or just drink juice. The toaster might burn my toast and I might spill the juice depending on my level of attention. Or I might not have any accidents at all and enjoy my snack. My future is my choice.
Can it really be changed? If the physical dimensions do not limit consciousness then surely, past, present and future can all be altered using consciousness as it transcends them all. So, if you are capable of controlling your consciousness through deep meditation, in theory, you are capable of changing your existence in space and time.
In a physical world, you will not be magically teleported to another level, because the physical body will have to still follow the rules of physics. So the perfect balance of your body following the laws of physics and your soul following the law of consciousness will inevitably take you to a different state of existence.
The catch is no physical laboratory can test this theory save for your consciousness - so how can you test it yourself?
How do I test it? Through deep focus and conviction using your focus. Patanjali’s concept of samādhi is not limited to a state of a blank. It is the perfect launchpad for you to take off to a place you want to go to as well. If you can feel the ecstasy while meditating, you’re close to it. Then use the same amount of focus to get where you want to go feeling it with the best of your imagination (and we hope it’s nice and for the good of all…). Now live like it’s happened and your consciousness is living in that dimension of time and space. Keep living like that. In time, your body will go there too.
Yes, it sounds complex but it is actually rather simple. The key is to let no distraction/ physical fact come in your way of belief. That is why your practice with Patanjali meditation is going to help you tear away from everything around you that you want to see changed.
So…what about changing your past? Can you undo it? Apparently yes, in a way that it will fulfil both laws of consciousness and laws of physics. If you have had a terrible experience meeting some people, can you undo it according to the theory? Believe that it never happened, and imagine another desirable state of your past. Live like the second scenario is what happened. And see how your present and future are altered in accordance to that assumption.
And let us know how it works for you.
