We are a registered UK charity and function solely by the support we get from our volunteers around the world and the donations we receive from people who have come and are in contact with us. 1. what will my patronship do?
1. Supporting Deprived Communities: Continuing our efforts from 2013, CIS aims to further increase its reach in the poor and the deprived sections of the community and help the homeless and drug and alcohol addicts kick addictions and rebuild their lives with the help of meditation.
2. Research: It is becoming more and more crucial to show how scientifically sound the information in the Vedas is and research is a great tool to bring the educated class under our umbrella. A very important part of our effort will include completing our ongoing research project aiming to highlight the benefits of Patanjali Meditation. Over 20 regular practitioners have been contributing to our data which will be thoroughly analyzed this year to track the progress of our practitioners.
3. More Universities: For 2014, we intend to widen our operations to more universities whilst increasing our pool of students at the existing ones like London, Liverpool and Birmingham.
4. Online Sessions for Attendees Worldwide: A number of short term attendees from Europe and North America have requested that we organise internet based sessions for their long term learning. We have also had numerous friends who have asked us to conduct live online meditation sessions for their children in Pakistan! Once organised, such sessions will benefit people worldwide.
5. More Media Production to Raise Awareness: Also, the young CIS team has plans for short films on some complex Vedic concepts besides ongoing production of podcasts that are available for free for everyone worldwide.
